On Monday 23rd January the full year 9 Music technology class attended a trip to Reform radio in the Old Granada Studios. They took part in a series of radio workshops that gave them an insight into job roles within the music industry. The students each got to have a go at presenting, DJing and producing as well as collaborating to create 3 short taster radio shows. The co-director of the radio station said she would be happy to have the students back to produce a full show and asked to “pass on to the school and the students how impressed we were with them.”
Overall the students loved the trip and it has inspired and engaged them more thoroughly in the subject.
