On Tuesday 27.03.2018 staff from Loreto Chorlton swapped their fancy lunch for a simple meal served by the pupil Chaplains. Supported by the RE team and the Chaplain, the pupils set about practising the skills learnt from their Food Tech studies as they directed staff to sample a “poor person’s cuisine”.
On offer was bread, cheese and a selection of crisps with a summer fruit salad also making an appearance. Speaking to one of the teachers present Gabriela, a member of the Chaplaincy team; explained that the money raised will go towards Cafod’s work in helping those in need.
£70.89 was raised at the Lunch which will be doubled by the government.
